IN-SCHOOL ‘Masti ki Paathshala’
…the art of playful learning

True education makes for inequality; the inequality of individuality, the inequality of success, the glorious inequality of talent, of genius.

Strategy is to strengthen and support the existing government school education and reach the SY intervention to a large number of students.

SY supports academics and introduces music, sports, theatre, computer.

Objectives
To establish public - private partnership model with an aim to improve the quality of formal education in government schools and concurrently impart relevant vocational skills to equip the young citizens.

SY works in government schools, to make education meaningful and fun, improve student enrollment and attendance and bring down school drop-out rate. By adopting teaching methodologies that inspire a sense of discovery and transform learning into a joyous experience for children. We infuse quality in education through creative and innovative methods of delivering the content based on the syllabus drawn by the concerned boards of education

Search Years partners with individuals, corporates and organizations to have them share their knowledge equity by placing highly qualified and motivated educators from the community in government schools to improve the quality of education in the under- served and challenging schools (e.g. Times of India through Teach India, Bank of America, Hindustan Unilever etc). Our volunteer educators from the community engage in active teaching of academic, environmental, cultural and art education by using creative tools, interactive mediums and play, thereby enhancing impact and wonder in the learning process

SY plans to reach out to 3000 children in the 1st phase of the program (2008-09).

SY develops art programs, fills the void in arts education and aesthetics in the schools. Search Years provides education that is holistic and has vocational linkages by maximizing the utilization of available resources i.e schools, teachers and the community.

Plans
